Painted during an immersion in a woodworking studio, this diptych is directly inspired by the marks left by tools, repeated gestures, and the material residues that accumulate on workbenches.
I used spontaneous gestures to layer the colors, drawing inspiration from the visual richness of work surfaces covered in pigments, sawdust, and varnish. The wooden support strengthens this connection to the world of woodworking, echoing the very material of the studio.
